Yoshiharu Ueno (上野 吉春, Ueno Yoshiharu) is a character featured in Yakuza 4. He is the chairman of the Ueno Seiwa Clan.

Appearance[]
Ueno is bald and all his facial hair is black. He has a goatee.
Attire[]
Ueno wears a medium gray double breasted peaked lapel suit over a white dress shirt, a Ueno Seiwa Clan crest lapel pin on the lape of his suit, a paisley patterned yellow necktie, and black dress shoes.

In 1985, Ueno was released from a two-year stay in prison, and went to a ramen shop with 19 of his officers, including Isao Katsuragi. Him and all of his men were shot by Taiga Saejima, with only he and Katsuragi surviving. Shortly after the incident, he promoted Katsuragi to captain for his brave actions that saved Ueno's life - though unbeknownst to Ueno, Saejima had only knocked out the Ueno Seiwa members, and Katsuragi had orchestrated the entire hit and slaughtered his 18 co-officers himself in order to gain the chairman's favor.

Now elderly and confined to his bed, Ueno leaves Katsuragi to serve as the de facto leader of the Ueno Seiwa Clan.
It is unknown if the Ueno Seiwa Clan continued to exist under Ueno after Katsuragi's death during the events of the game.
