Kazuma brings the bodies of Shinji and Reina to Kage, seeing as he has nowhere else to go. Kazuma tells the group, once assembled, that Shinji's girl, named Akemi, may know something. Akemi is a popular name, but Shinji had a reputation for liking hookers (or however you want to spin it). At Shangri-la, a popular "spa," Akemi is the name of the start attraction. Sounds like a lead to me.
Shangri-la is near the strip club. You may have seen it before, but you couldn't get in because you needed a membership card. Kage mentions that too, which probably means we're about to get one.
Kage mentions a girl named Xin Mei who used to work there. She's now at Shine, the hostess bar on Pink Street, where I'm sure you've been many times to deal with the hostess' missions. Kage says that Xin will get you a membership card easily, but doesn't say why he knows this.
You'll want to stock up on some health medicines, so if you're short of cash, don't leave Purgatory just yet. Instead, jump into the fighting ring in the Red Light District and fight around for a while. If you stay until you've got a half-million yen or more (which takes a REAL short amount of time to be honest), you'll be set for quite awhile. Besides, you can always use the experience points.
In fact, if you're good with swords, enter the Sword Duel Tournament several times. You'll net a whopping quarter-million yen the first time you clear it, plus a sword which you can sell to the pawn shop for an added bonus. Or, you know, keep it for when battles get a little tough. Either way, fight until you're stinking filthy rich.
Once you're good to go, head to Shine on Pink St. When you jump in, you'll automatically choose to see Xin; you won't have to pay for the service like normal. Kazuma asks her for the membership card immediately, and surprisingly she's willing to give it up. Not surprisingly, she needs us to do her a favor. Turns out she's an illegal alien, and she and her brother were almost caught a few days prior.
Xin mentions someone called the "Counterfeiter." It's a guy who's good at forging things, from paintings to documents. This guy is the top of the line, and can forge anything, even a passport. She's not entirely sure where the guy is, but a girl named Ayaka from the other hostess bar should.
Head to Jewel, and you'll be in luck as Ayaka, a fairly cute redhead, is indeed available. Ayaka is hesitant about giving up the info; even though she doesn't at all, she's acting really suspicious. Still, there's nothing you can do but leave.
Outside, two guys, one armed with a sword, make some noise and go into the bar. Follow them. They confront Ayaka about the counterfeiter. Even when threatened by a sword that cleanly cuts glass, Ayaka gives up no information. She's kicks a little butt, then bails with her boss.
They say something about "finally HE showed HIS true identity," then mention that the counterfeiter normally does business at Park No. 3 (where you picked up Saya). Get there, and you'll find both women being threatened. Kazuma tries to talk down the enemies, but you know how that's gone every time he's tried.
The enemies are not as difficult as they might appear, with everyone armed with a sword and the leader armed with two that cannot be disarmed. They do surround you constantly though, which gets highly annoying, and will lead to you taking quite a bit of damage. Keep moving so keep them all on one side of you, then fight away. Use any weapon or blade at your disposal to thin their numbers, then concentrate on their leader.
After the fight, Kazuma reasons that Ayaka's boss is the Counterfeiter. Pretty much everything involved just now was a mere test to see whether Kazuma could really use the Counterfeiter's services. They say that it's all good, and you all warp instantly back to Jewel. She hands over the passport, plus some information.
The Counterfeiter is pretty in touch with what's going on in the world. She says that five years ago, Fuma came to Jewel with a request. He asked for the Counterfeiter to create a fake identity, everything from a birth certificate to a diploma. She did... but that's all she says. Hmm... sounds important to me.
Exit the Jewel, heal if you need, and head back to Shine. With the passport in hand, Xin has no problem forking over the Shangri-la membership card.
Psyche! She doesn't have it anymore! She actually gave it to someone named Masutatsu Mizuno as a token of kindness for his care of her, or something. He works at the MEB, which is located just west of Jewel. Masutatsu is the guy just inside the door in the white suit.
Masutatsu, naturally, refuses to just give Kazuma the card. You'll have to pay 300,000 yen to have it. (Even though he asks for a half-million, you can talk him down.) At least we didn't have to go on another quest.
Even with the sacred membership card finally in hand, you're still not ready to go to Shangri-la. Instead, return to Purgatory. Date's happy you got a card, but it took so long that he says you'll have to go to Shangri-la with Haruka because he's got to get back to the police HQ. I guess no fun for us, with a preteen watching.
Save it at the hideout, then head over to Shangri-la. Remember, it's the really large building south of the Champion District and north of the massage parlor. It's lit up on your map finally, so it will be easy to find.
Inside, they try to keep Haruka out. Kazuma beats up a statue, which gives everyone a reason to let him in. Anyway, the receptionist says that the rooms with a "Vacant" sign means a girl is in the room, waiting. Remember, we're here for Shinji's girl Akemi, but Kazuma doesn't know what she looks like, so he says we'll have to search every room.
There's nothing on the lower floor, so head upstairs. Akemi is, naturally, on the top floor, so just keep heading up. Her room is the easternmost room, the largest one on the map.
Akemi reports that Fuma is with a friend of Shinji's, someone Shinji totally trusts. She also says that Shinji found that Nishiki doesn't just want the 10 billion yen, but also Sera's will, which said who the fourth chairman would be. Before they can go further, some insane idiot rams a bus into Shangri-la. Kazuma leaves Haruka with Akemi to investigate.
There is an item box and a phone in Akemi's room. Use them as necessary, then head all the way to the first floor. You'll be fighting a gauntlet in the process, but so it goes. As usual, if anyone has a gun, prioritize them first.
Looks like the idiot who crashed this party is Majima, who survived that katana through the chest. He puts the moves on a girl, but gets rejected even though he had a knife. He lets her go, then says that it's time to finish the battle we started at the batting cages.
Majima is easily the toughest boss you've faced so far. He's got a very annoying dodge that he uses constantly, and he'll always look to get in behind you. His attack, where he's armed with a knife, is exceptionally quick and will pierce through your blocks. Your most accurate attack would be to try to let him get behind you, then do a roundhouse kick; however, if you stay in one play too long, he'll actually dodge away from you and do a jumping attack that reaches all the way across the lobby.
Try to grab him whenever you can. Don't bother with throws, but keep using headbutts and punches whilst holding him. If you have any guns you've been saving, use them now, because he can't dodge bullets. Also, if you've been working on your own dodges (R1 + any direction + X), you should be able to avoid a chunk of damage. In fact, your best bet is to constantly dodge, because if he starts a combo and misses because you dodged, he'll be committed to it and unable to dodge your retaliatory combo. Either way, you'll take your shots, so make sure your healing items are plentiful.
Halfway through the fight, the venue will change, but don't let that bother you. Majima's attacks and strategy doesn't change, and neither should yours.
Back at Purgatory, Kazuma updates Date on what's going on. Date also reports that everyone from the MBI is pressuring everyone in the police to stop Kazuma. Ironically however, because Date is with Kazuma, Date's career is currently safe. I smell a plot hole, but who cares, it's working for now.
Anyway, Kazuma decides that he's going to the Shibaura wharf to find Fuma, and try to get some grasp on what's going on. You'll need to tell Date when you're ready to leave, so stock up on healing items and weapons before heading out.
