Izumi asks Ayako for money to get Mame a dog toy that is similar to her old dog's. Despite the toy costing all of her allowance, she decides to give Izumi the money for it anyways. Afterwards, Shiro also asks her for help with a ton homework given by his teacher. Kiryu overhears the conversations and tells her that she spends a lot of time on other's needs rather than her own, but she dismisses it. Kiryu ends up talking to Haruka about it and Haruka feels the same way, telling him that Ayako even refuses help with anything.

The next day, it's revealed the dog toy Izumi wanted were sold out so she used the money to buy candy for herself and her friends. Shiro also gets frustrated at Izumi for not helping with his homework properly, resulting in detention for him. She ends up getting upset and runs out of the orphanage. Kiryu holds a meeting with all the kids, telling them all individually how they've taken Izumi for granted. After this, Kiryu finds Izumi near the coin lockers. This starts a chase mini-game. Once you finish the chase sequence, he convinces her to come back to the orphanage. At the orphanage, all the children surprises her with various chore coupons she can use so the others can help her.

She says that she knows Haruka is leaving because of the controversy surrounding her previous career as an idol and her relationship to Kazuma Kiryu, an ex-yakuza, potentially threatening Mitsuo's career. She tries to stop her, but Haruka tells her she will be moving close to Kiryu. For the next three years, Ayako keeps secret her knowledge of the real reason for Haruka's departure, taking on the role of caring for the other children.

By 2019, Ayako is working in an office, though she had difficulty finding work for some time. She, along with Taichi, leaves a message for Kiryu after discovering a hidden camera pointed at his grave in Okinawa, noting that nobody at Morning Glory truly believes him to be dead. The next day, they return to the cemetery and leave a drawing Haruto Sawamura had made of everyone at Morning Glory, including Kiryu, at his gravestone. Both the video and drawing secretly reach Kiryu.

Notes[]

  1. The given birth years of 1997/1998 are an estimate based on Ayako's age and are not intended as a substitute for an official date.
  2. The given height of 160 cm (5′ 3″) is based on the character model's scaling factor within Yakuza 6's data.[1] For Dragon Engine games, this method is believed to be very accurate (±2 cm). However, this is intended as an estimate, not a substitute for an official statistic.
